There are a few ways to travel from Berat to Përmet, but it’s very important to choose the correct route. 🚫 Do not fully rely on Google Maps. It often suggests the route: 👉 Berat → Poliçan → Çorovodë → Përmet (via Osum Canyon) You can drive easily until Osum Canyon, but from that point toward Përmet the road is not passable for normal cars: • Large holes • Rough terrain • Suitable only for 4x4 vehicles

Best Route (Recommended) The best option is: Berat → Bilçë → Gllavë → Ballaban → Këlcyrë → Përmet • Around 70% completed road (at this time publishing this) • Already accessible with standard vehicles • Much safer and faster • Not yet fully shown on Google Maps This is currently the best route for travelers.

Alternative Route (Longer but Easier) If you prefer highway Berat → Lushnjë → Levan → Memaliaj → Këlcyrë → Përmet • Fully drivable • Safe for all vehicles • Takes longer (around 3.5–4 hours)
